C H A N G E

As we all know change is inevitable. Doing this scavenger hunt having a theme of change made me think of the changes overall that we as Americans face as a whole. With our country in an aimless war and the BIG issue with immigration not to mention our citys budget deficit. With all these things going on we still have to manage to get through the day and live our life as if it doesnt directly affect us, though in many unobvious ways they do. i.e our ability to get loans or our ability to gain housing and benefits (whats left from the illegal immigrants). Thinking about all of these apprehensions what are you doing as a person to contribute to the betterment of our situations?

  1. dang. im not doing anything! i guess im just trusting someone else will get it sorted out for me. i know that not a very good way to go about things but i really dont know what i can do other then try my best and hope im not going to be hit hard by some of these apprehensions. as far as the "aimless war," all we can do is be open about how we dont support it and the fact that we want our troops to come home. change is rarely done by one person; change is usually brought on by a mass of people stressing the topic that they need "change," and i feel like that is exactly what many Americans are trying to to right now.

  3. i personally think that i dont do as much as i should. now i can say i pay taxes, but everybody pays taxes so waht else do i got? i tend to be very self-obsevered at times which means all i care about is myself. me against the world. this was a very true statement back in my past because i felt that i couldn't trust anybody and that every body was out to get me. but now i have learned to get over all of that i try to help other peoples lives get better! i want to strive for that more than anything.

  4. I am with Drew. I am not doing anything either. No matter what anyone says we as Americans are spoiled rotten. We get everything served to us on a silver platter yet we're too lazy to help fix the things that matter most in the world. If I had the choice I'd take my family and loved ones out of the country. Since I'm broke I can't do that haha.

  5. This is a very good question. Im not too sure what I can do to help the betterment of our situations. The only solution in my eyes is to adress the problems dead on.Like pay my bills on time, get some what involved with politics & make sure Im confident in knowing where my hardwork will benifit.

  6. I agree with Drew. I'm doing absolutly nothing to help and this post made me realize I should be. I'm not entirely sure what I can do but things do need to change. I'm sick of hearing about the war. I know it's not as simple as we came in we got Sadam and now we can leave, but I feel like we've been there way to long. The other thing I can really do for this is to support the troops that are there but no support the reasoning. I too feel like I'm hoping for someone else to do it. Like Obama for instance talking about Change. I'm a supporter of him but frankly I haven't seen much change. I guess I got to do some research and learn what I can do to help...and probably learn more about the topic because I'm thinking I probably said something completely untrue or something that offended someone.

  7. Just yesterday I gave twenty dallers to a man that was raising many for those who are sick in the hospital and needs help for others for suppourt with there health inserance. I felt really good helping those who are really sick because I was in and out of hopitals myself when I was young child and I enjoyed knowing that others cared for me before them selfs. For some reason I always felt better to help others before myself.

  8. I havent done much to contribute. I feel as if even though us as people have a way to make things different, it is not much we can do against the Government. They are a higher power. They feel like they have and currently still helping as much as they can. So I guess I just sit back knowing that things wont change sporadically. Just be patient, and play mare part as a consumer and citizen.
